Job summary

Amgen, based in Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking a Manager for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the Downstream team of B23 GMP Drug Substance Supply. You will lead the NPI/MES group, directing specialists and ensuring seamless integration of new products and technologies into manufacturing processes.

We value candidates with strong leadership, Lean and OE experience, and a track record in GMP operations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or Master’s with 3 years biotech ops experience, or Bachelor’s with 5 years biotech ops, or Associate’s with 10 years biotech ops.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of Downstream NPI Specialists and MES Sr. Associates.
• Assess team capabilities to meet drug substance supply needs.
• Lead downstream area team meetings and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Coordinate with PD, DSTE, Supply Chain, Planning, Facilities & Engineering, Quality, MES network, and Manufacturing.
