Nuvance Health in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a Doula (Per Diem) to provide emotional and physical support to women in labor. You will be part of a collaborative team that values open communication and compassionate care.
Responsibilities include assisting laboring women, supporting families, facilitating bonding after delivery, and attending scheduled meetings. A High School diploma and DONA or CAPPA certification are required. This role offers a salary range of $25.70 - $47.72 hourly.

Provides continuous emotional and physical support for a woman in labor and her immediate family. This support spans the duration of the labor and during the postpartum period.
Required: High School diploma and completion of the DONA (Doulas of North America) or CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) in person class; Associate's degree preferred.
Adheres to Hospital Behavioral Standards. Requires excellent communication skills.
Certification: Either DONA (Doulas of North America), or, CAPPA certification (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). Must complete the "IN PERSON" workshop.
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Significant occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
$25.70 - $47.72 Hourly, commensurate with experience
