Job summary

Nexus seeks a Contractual Dot Net Developer for a remote role based in India. The 6-month engagement focuses on building and maintaining web applications, RESTful APIs, and background services using .NET 8, ASP.NET Core MVC, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities include API development, UI portals with Next.js/React, and database migrations with Liquibase. Strong team collaboration in Agile/Scrum and experience with Azure DevOps are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Pages, Web API, and EF Core.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and jQuery.
• Solid understanding of OO design, SOLID, and common design patterns.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience and SQL proficiency.
• Git and Azure DevOps in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with .NET 8 and modern IDEs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web apps and admin portals using C#, .NET 8, ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Pages, and jQuery.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Develop and support .NET 8 APIs used by iOS app and Next.js/React portal.
• Create and maintain .NET 8 Worker Services for background jobs.
• Write clean, testable code; maintain unit/integration tests.
• Design/postgres schemas; manage migrations with Liquibase and SQL/PowerShell scripts.
• Use Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines across DEV/QA/UAT/PROD with environment branches.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance and security.

We are looking for a Contractual Dot Net Developer.Location - Remote, India

Duration- 6 months

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications, including admin and franchisee portals, using C#, .NET 8, ASP.NET http://ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Pages, and jQuery.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Develop and support .NET 8 APIs consumed by the iOS app and a Next.js/React member portal.
• Build and maintain .NET 8 Worker Services for scheduled and long-running background jobs.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL using Entity Framework Core, and manage schema changes through Liquibase changelogs (SQL) and PowerShell scripts.
• Use Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines to build and promote releases through DEV/QA, UAT, and PROD using a branch-per-environment workflow.
• Take part in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and security.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of professional experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET http://ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Pages, Web API, and Entity Framework Core.
• Working knowledge of jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL (version 16 or later) and writing efficient SQL.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards), including environment-based branching, in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with .NET 8 and Visual Studio 2026 (or recent Visual Studio versions).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Service Bus) or AWS equivalents.
• Knowledge of microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Front-end experience with Next.js and React.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.).
• Experience with DBeaver and the Liquibase Community CLI for database management and migrations.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and Node.js (version 22 or later) for front-end development.
• PowerShell scripting for database and deployment tasks.
