Job summary

VITAL RECORDS CONTROL COMPANIES seeks a Driver II (DOT) to operate DOT-regulated CMVs on customer service routes, ensuring secure transport and adherence to chain-of-custody standards. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, load/unload, and interact with customers to fulfill service requests.

You must maintain a valid license and DOT medical certificate, follow FMCSR and company safety procedures, and support operations with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Drivers must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record as a condition of continued employment in this role.
• PIT certification required (certification offered upon hire).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
• Demonstrated safe driving history with a strong commitment to defensive driving and roadway safety
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and represent the company positively while performing service routes.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English sufficiently to understand safety procedures, follow written instructions, complete required documentation, and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and customers when necessary is required

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles, including DOT-regulated Commercial Motor Vehicles, to support assigned service routes.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks).
• Drive vans or box trucks to customer locations for pickups, deliveries, and service needs.
• Work directly with customers to fulfill service requests.
• Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Comply with applicable Hours-of-Service requirements when operating regulated vehicles.
• Immediately report on or off-duty accidents, citations, inspections, or license status changes.
• Utilize handheld scanners and inventory management systems.
• Meet established productivity, timeliness, and accuracy standards.
• Maintain strict customer confidentiality and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Follow all operational protocols.
• Maintain compliance with all company safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
