Job summary

Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a highly motivated DOT Delivery Driver to join our team in Odessa, TX. You will safely deliver products to customers while complying with DOT regulations and helping maintain a clean warehouse.

A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential. The role requires at least 18 months of commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 25 years of age.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• Minimum 18 months of experience in commercial driving and delivery.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug test.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain DOT-regulated delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date DOT logs, including Hours of Service records.
• Assist in loading and unloading of products from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper weight and load security.
• Ensure all products are properly secured and protected during transportation.
• Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles and monitor cleanliness.
• Assist in organization and maintenance of the warehouse, including receiving and stocking.
• Provide excellent customer service with timely and professional communication.
• Report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations to management per DOT guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
