Job summary

Lonestar Electric Supply Partners is hiring a DOT Delivery Driver to ensure safe and timely product delivery while adhering to DOT regulations. The role supports warehouse organization and emphasizes safety and customer service.

The ideal candidate has at least 18 months of commercial driving experience and a clean driving record, with a focus on accuracy, communication, and independent work. Training on DOT requirements will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 25 years of age.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years.
• 18+ months of commercial driving and delivery experience with DOT knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain DOT-regulated delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations, ensuring the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date DOT logs, including Hours of Service (HOS) records, using ELDs or manual logs as required.
• Assist in loading and unloading of products from delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with weight restrictions and load securement regulations.
• Ensure all products are properly secured and protected during transportation.
• Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and general cleanliness, while ensuring compliance with DOT maintenance requirements.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, and shelving of products.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Provide excellent customer service, including timely and professional communication with customers.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately to management, following DOT guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of our products to customers while complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include heat and humidity.


• Noise level may be loud at times.


• Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.


• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. consistently and frequently.


• Must be able to remain seated and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time.
