Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Driver / Operator of company vehicles responsible for courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages at customer locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid license for the assigned vehicle, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication skills. Work at FedEx location five days a week; medical exam is required in accordance with FMCSA/FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Neat appearance since customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in FMCSA section 391. Medical exam required per FMCSA/FAA.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials.

Responsibilities

• Driver / operator of company vehicles; delivers and picks up packages and provides courteous customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the employer.
