How you’ll contribute

A Dosimetrist who excels in this role provides medical dosimetry services for patient treatment planning in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription. Additional responsibilities include:

Devises a treatment plan by means of computer and/or manual computation that will deliver the prescribed dose to a defined tumor volume in collaboration with the medical physicist.
Performs desapcalations and assures complete, accurate, andoded record of all data on all charts and forms.
Instructs the technical staff in the implementation of the treatment plan.
Assists in planning of compensating filters, custom shields, wedges, blocks, and other beam modifying devices in collaboration with the Medical Physicist.
Assists in the selection and evaluation of purchase requests involving radioactive materials or radiation‑producing equipment.
Maintains records of daily treatment and other records as required.
Records charges accurately for procedures performed and submits charges in the Record & Verify system.
Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
Observes radiation safety measures for patient and personnel.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have an associate degree in a related field. Additional requirements include:

Licenses: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) (within 6 months); ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy Registry (Preferred)
Work Experience: 3 years as Medical Dosimetrist preferred
