Job summary

Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Housing and Resident Education Custodian for New Calumet Hall Dorm. The role provides custodial services in residence halls, cleaning public areas, restrooms and resident rooms to promote a safe, healthy environment for students and staff.

May travel to other PNW locations and work overtime as needed. The position offers standard benefits and requires a high school diploma or GED with prior custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with custodial/janitorial work preferred.
• Ability to bend, kneel and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, and hallways.
• Clean unoccupied resident rooms and apartments; bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchens.
• Move furniture as needed to clean areas properly and assist with basic repairs.
• Assist with snow removal, trash/recycling duties, and training student staff.
