Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is hiring a Doors & Hardware Foreman in Gordonville, PA to supervise 2-6 field installers and install commercial doors and hardware. The role requires hands-on use of power tools and strong safety/quality focus.

Compensation ranges from $30 to $35 per hour with plus 10 hours of weekly overtime, direct hire, full-time, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Benefits include 120 hours PTO after 30 days, medical, dental, vision, and 401K match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience using power tools, saws, drills, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend job-site weekly meetings as needed.
• Supervise installers each day on the job site.
• Prepare daily reports on job sites.
• Ensure safety and quality of doors and hardware during tool use.
• Analyze drawings and work orders to complete tasks.
• Prep doors to receive hardware and install frames, doors and hardware as required.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain safe work habits.
• Inspect finished products for defects and conformance with quality.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Doors & Hardware Foreman to supervise 2-6 field installers, as well as install commercial doors & hardware.

Compensation : $30/h- $35/h depending on experience, plus 10 hours weekly overtime!

Location: Gordonville, PA

Schedule : M-F (6 am to 4:30 pm)

Overview:

Supervise team of field installers, as well as install doors & hardware using impact & cordless drills, skill saws, grinders, belt sanders, routers, jig saws, but not limited to other power tools. Supervise approximately 2-6 Installers.

Responsibilities for Foreman :

• Attends job site weekly meetings as needed
• Supervise installers each day on the job site
• Daily reports on job sites
• Use tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware
• Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders to complete task at hand
• Prep doors to receive hardware
• Install frames, doors, hardware & accessories per manufacturer requirements
• Operate equipment safely and use safe work habits
• Examine finished product for defects to ensure conformance with quality

Requirements/Qualifications for Foreman :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
• Experience using power tools, saws, drills etc.
• Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Drivers license preferred but not required
• Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
• Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job

Physical Demands

• Spends majority of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching.
• Frequent lifting required 25-50 pounds for items.

Work Environment

• May be exposed to variable weather conditions.
• Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
