Job summary

Goodwill Keystone Area seeks a Donor Service Representative to support donations and promote our mission at our donation centers. You will greet donors, assist with donations, issue receipts, maintain a clean donation area, and provide information about Goodwill programs.

The role requires strong customer service, clear English communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Evening and weekend flexibility is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (responsible for equipment operation).
• Ability to speak, hear, read, and write.
• Ability to speak English to interact with donors and customers satisfactorily.
• Must present a neat and positive appearance and demeanor.
• Must possess good customer service skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greets donors in a pleasant and professional manner and promotes Goodwill Keystone Area.
• Assists donors with donations, unloading from vehicle, issuing receipts, and refusing items on the "thanks, but no thanks" list.
• Provides donation information and general Goodwill Keystone Area information to donors.
• Completes donor tracking paperwork accurately and submits it in a timely manner.
• Assists the transportation department with loading and unloading trucks, collecting and distributing materials, and removing trash and salvage.
• Sters-fabs appropriate items following all safety precautions.
• Prices hard goods as needed.
• Maintains a clean and orderly production and donor area, including outside donor area.
• Supports Goodwill programs and special events.
• Contributes to the organization by supporting additional tasks and projects as needed.
• Promotes a workplace safety environment, adhering to safety requirements and reporting hazards.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Production Manager.

Summary

To assist and promote through positive customer service the donations of clothing and household items to Goodwill Keystone Area for resale in its store locations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push and pull carts requiring a force of 50 pounds over 100 feet for 25% of the shift.
• Ability to push and pull pallet jacks with gaylords or other material requiring a force of 60 pounds over 100 feet for 25% of the shift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from ground level to waist level at least 80 times during a shift.
• Ability to bend forward or to the side up to 60 degrees for 50% of the shift.
• Ability to step up 24 inches onto forklifts or lift forks to dumpsters for up to 25% of the shift.
• Ability to raise hands above the head to open dumpsters for 10% of the shift.
• Ability to stand continuously for more than 75% of the shift.
• Visual and hearing acuity that meets standard vision and hearing test criteria.
• Possession of a forklift license or the ability to become certified as a forklift operator.
