Position Overview

Title: Donor Liaison Intern

Job Category: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Status: Part‑Time, 10 – 14 hours per week

Type of Employment: Temporary

Direct Supervisor: Director of Leadership Gifts

Region/Unit: US/Central Office

Location: Philadelphia, PA, USA – Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Personally acknowledge gifts from unassigned donors.
  • Collaborate with Leadership Gift Officers (LPOs) to produce written proposals, updates, and pitch sheets for specific donors and wider donor audiences.
  • Assist LPOs with travel planning by running and reviewing donor lists and highlighting potential.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Operate safely in all conditions and follow policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: At least one year in development, communications, outreach, or related fields.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
  • Effective independent and team-oriented work style.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and related technology.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse staff.

Compensation

The AFSC offers a competitive Total Rewards package. This position is Non‑Exempt Salary Family: Intern, Job Code Intern, with a Starting Hourly Rate of $20. The position does not include medical, dental, or life insurance benefits. AFSC participates in unemployment, workers’ compensation, and social security.
