Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes in Geneseo, NY is seeking a Donor Greeter to warmly welcome donors, assist with donations, and ensure items are logged and directed for processing.

You will interact with customers, maintain a safe, clean donation area, and support store operations. Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; high school diploma preferred; prior retail or donation-center experience is welcome.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist donors with unloading and bringing donations into the store.
• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable first point of contact for donors and visitors.
• Accurately record and maintain donation log documentation.
• Sort donated goods into appropriate categories for processing and transportation.
• Properly label carts, containers, and other equipment used for donation processing.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling donations, moving merchandise, and operating equipment.
• Address donor and customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, seeking support from leadership when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized donation area, sales floor, and surrounding store environment.
• Support store operations through cross-training opportunities and additional responsibilities as assigned.]
