Job summary

A community-focused nonprofit organization in Statesboro, Georgia, is seeking a Donor Experience Lead to enhance the donor experience and supervise staff. In this role, you will manage daily operations at the donation site, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures while providing outstanding customer service.   • Submit and review weekly paperwork.
  • Address donor or customer concerns and escalate as needed.

Job description

TheDonor Experience Leadfor Goodwillsupports the store/site manager by providing leadership and training to donation personnel. This role involves both independent and collaborative duties, ensuring an exceptional donor experience in line with Goodwill SEGA standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Leadis responsible formaintaininga tidy work area andassistingin various operational tasks as needed, all while adhering to Goodwill SEGA rules, policies, and safety procedures.

Your Typical Day:

  • Supervise the daily activities and staff at the assigned site.
  • Greet donors promptly and courteously within 10 seconds; assist with unloading donations and offer tax receipts while maintaining accurate daily donation counts.
  • Assist the manager with scheduling toensure site coverage at all times.
  • Oversee and assist in the training of new attendants, providing ongoing development opportunities through training and feedback.
  • Conduct team huddles and safety training sessions with staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized donation site.
  • Ensure the donation site is stocked with necessary supplies and that maintenance is up to date.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Department to address the site's operational needs.
  • Submit, review, and complete all assigned paperwork on a weekly basis.
  • Safeguard all donations and company property, treating them with respect and care.
  • Ensure compliance with all SOPs for assigned staff.
  • Address donor or customer concerns; if not resolved immediately, refer to the Coordinator or Manager and document any issues promptly.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned or directed.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience providing necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Good eyesight and color definition.
  • Experience or ability to use a hand truck.
  • Ability to quickly assess donated goods and determine appropriate routing.
  • Proficient in functional reading and writing.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service to every donor.
  • Ability to supervise daily activities and staff effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure the donation site is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service isprovided to every donor at all times.
  • Lifting and carrying 40 – 60 pounds; Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers.
  • Ability to push/pull 100 pounds
