Job summary

Ocean State Media in Providence, RI seeks a Donor Engagement Manager to develop strategies that keep donors informed, valued, and connected to our mission across programs, audience engagement, and leadership.

You will lead donor stewardship, plan events, craft impact storytelling, and collaborate with program staff to gather stories and data for communications, while tracking engagement in RevCRM and improving the donor journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field or experience.
• 3-5 years in development, fundraising, donor relations, stewardship, or related area in nonprofit/public media.
• Strong understanding of donor lifecycle, cultivation, stewardship, retention, and relationship building.
• Demonstrated ability to build meaningful donor relationships and collaborate with fundraisers and leadership.
• Experience using donor data and CRM systems to support fundraising and donor engagement, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Donor Stewardship: Create and execute outreach plans to thank and update donors.
• Event Planning: Organize donor appreciation events, major donor events, and briefings.
• Impact Storytelling and Reporting: Write letters, newsletters, and reports showing philanthropic impact.
• Collaboration: Work with program staff to gather stories and data for donor communications.
• Donor Journey Management: Map and optimize the donor lifecycle from acquisition through renewal and upgrade.
• Communications: Develop donor-centered communications for segmented audiences.
• Data Management: Track donor engagement in RevCRM and analyze donor behavior.
