The Salvation Army in Pittsburgh is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help move merchandise, load and unload trucks, and keep the dock, warehouse, and sorting areas orderly.

You will assist thrift-store staff, handle donations with care, participate in sorting operations, with safety training and potential forklift certification.

Strong English communication and reliable, team‑oriented work habits are required, and the role supports the Adult Rehabilitation Centers work-therapy program.

Qualificações

• English speaking and comprehension for effective communication.

• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsabilidades

• Keep work area clean and in order.
• Ensure the safe and expeditious movement of merchandise in and out of warehouse in cooperation with other warehouse personnel.
• Load and unload trucks as assigned.
• Provide assistance to Thrift Store personnel when delivering items for proper placement.
• Serve all customers and donors in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care.
• Maintain cleanliness of dock, warehouse, bathrooms, and surrounding areas.
• Safeguard donated materials and equipment.
• Cross train in sorting room functions under supervision.
• Assist in sorting room operations and general maintenance.
• Operate forklift as needed after training and certification.
