Goodwill-Industries-of-Arkansa is seeking a supervisor to oversee donation centers and the home pickup team, ensuring efficient operations, safety, and excellent customer service. You’ll coordinate staffing, training, and payroll processes while maintaining employee relations.

You will be responsible for on-site supervision across donation centers and field pickups, with on-call availability to address operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School diploma or GED and on-the-job training in relevant skills.
  • 12-18 months related experience and 1-6 months of related management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and provide oral and written feedback as needed.
  • Interview applicants and conduct onboarding for new hires with maintained personnel files.
  • Process payroll records and other day-to-day paperwork for donation centers.
  • Maintain daily attendance and approve vacation/time-off requests.
  • Oversee donation intake, sorting, and ensure safety policy compliance.
  • Manage the home pickup team with scheduling, routing, and customer service.
  • Serve as primary on-call point of contact during operation hours for issues.
  • Provide coverage at donation centers during staffing shortages and disruptions.
  • Address employee concerns, coach staff, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Coordinate with leadership and report performance and improvement opportunities across locations.
  • Support donation drives and special campaigns.

General Description of PositionResponsible for overseeing the operations of the donation centers and home pickup team including maintaining the ADC’s and employees, handling donor inquiries, monitoring production goals, training donation center associates, and scheduling home pickups. Ensures all locations operate in alignment with company policies, safety regulations, and customer service expectations.Uphold a positive work environment that follows Goodwill’s Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) culture, Values, and Mission in everything you do and every interaction you have with co-workers, clients, customers and management.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervises staff, giving them oral and written communication regarding work performance as necessary.Interviews applicants and conduct workplace orientations for new hires, ensuring all personnel files are maintained and secured.Initiates and completes personnel and payroll records in a timely manner as well as other paperwork required in the day-to-day operations of the donation centers.Keeps employees’ daily attendance records and approves employees’ vacation and time off requests.Oversees daily operations, including donation intake, sorting, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.Manages the home pickup team, ensuring efficient scheduling, routing, and customer service for home pickups.Serves as the primary point of contact during operation hours, remaining on call to address urgent issues, staffing concerns, or operational challenges.Provides coverage at donation centers as needed, stepping in to support locations experiencing staffing shortages or operational disruptions.Handles employee communication and issue resolution, responding to concerns, coaching staff, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.Coordinates with leadership, providing updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement across all locations.Supports donation drive events and special campaigns as needed.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.
