Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is hiring for a warehouse associate at the Main Plant in San Jose, CA. The role involves receiving, moving, and staging donations, loading and unloading trucks, and keeping the workspace organized and compliant with procedures.

Candidates should have basic arithmetic skills, experience in material handling, and the ability to read and write in English. Forklift certification is a plus and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general arithmetic (adding/subtracting) required.
• Experience in material handling.
• Basic ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Receives, moves and places carts, containers and barrels containing donations, trash, and as-Is for processing in designated areas.
• Unloads trailers and transports products to appropriate departments.
• Loads trailers and trucks with products for shipping.
• Tracks production output and product levels throughout the day.
• Replenishes unsorted donations at the sorter workstations.
• Tests electrical products and/or stack and wrap E-waste pallets.
• Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly manner with clean-up activities performed throughout the day.
• Follows and enforces all company procedures.
• Responds to duties as requested by supervisors or leads.
