Job summary

The Salvation Army in Bloomington, MN is hiring a Store Donation Attendant for part-time, 25 hours per week. You will welcome donors, process donations, and help maintain a clean, organized donation area while supporting our community programs.

This role requires a high school diploma or current student, strong English communication, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to pass a background check; weekend/evening availability is needed. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or currently pursuing.
• Strong English communication skills for donor and team interactions.
• Basic math skills for donation processing.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide donor service by greeting donors and offering assistance.
• Process and track donations accurately.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area.
• Sort, load, and unload Salvation Army trucks per center policy.
• Power sort donations as they arrive (where applicable).
• Support production processes as needed.
• Safeguard all donated materials and assigned equipment.
• Report any complaints, damage, or injuries in the donation area.
• Guide donors on acceptable materials and pickup services for heavy items.
