Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is seeking a Donation Xpress Lead Attendant to manage day-to-day operations at a donation center and supervise center staff while delivering friendly service to donors.

You will keep accurate donor tallies and records, lead safety meetings, assist with loading trucks, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met. Prior supervisory or retail experience is preferred, and MS Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Retail and stock handling experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily donation center operations and staff.
• Open and close the donation center; supervise staff.
• Maintain accurate records and donor tallies.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and inspections.
• Assist in loading donated items onto GICF trucks.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and issue receipts.

Additionally, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service while receiving donated treasures through the generosity of donors, while providing donors with receipts, sorting donated items, and assisting with loading donations for transport.A Day in the Life of a Donation Xpress Lead Attendant!You will find yourself:Opening and closing the donation center.Motivating, training, and retaining Donation Xpress center staff.Maintaining accurate records for the location while ensuring the proper flow of information and monitoring the accuracy of donor tallies.Completing monthly safety meetings and participating in inspections as required.Providing feedback to supervisory staff on production employee performance.Adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards as directed.Assisting in loading GICF trucks with donated items as needed.Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.Standing or walking for long periods of time.Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes, and chemicals.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).Education and/or Experience:Must be 18 years of age or older.Previous retail and/stock handling experience is preferred.One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.Intermediate level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet browsersThank You!Thank You for your interest in Building Lives That Work with Goodwill Industries of Central Florida.
