Job summary

Easterseals-Goodwill is seeking an Entry level Donation Door Attendant to greet donors and assist with donations in a fast-paced environment. You will help unload vehicles, sort items into categories, and maintain clean donation areas both inside and out.

The role emphasizes a self-motivated, customer-focused mindset and adherence to Best Practices. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods, lift 20–100 pounds, and work varied days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift.
• Able to move 20–100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or mechanical aid.
• Tolerance to extreme temperature and humidity changes.
• Background check required; past convictions do not automatically bar employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide high-quality, friendly service.
• Assist in unloading vehicles and sorting donations into proper containers by category.
• Keep donation areas clean and organized both inside and outside.
• Strive to meet daily goals and follow ESGW Best Practices.

Job description

The Donation Door Attendant greets and assists donors in a fast-paced environment. Provides top-notch service to donors. Assists in unloading vehicles of donations. Treats donations with respect. Is a self-starter - stays busy, and sorts all donations into proper containers by categories. Cleans the donation areas, both inside and out. Strives to meet daily goals. Performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW. Must assist in all aspects of operations, as directed.

Requirements

• Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift (excluding break times).
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Requires moving 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Requires tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
• Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• All positions require the completion of a background check. Acknowledging or having criminal convictions does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
