Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries in Cincinnati seeks a Retail Donation Attendant to greet donors, receive donations, and issue receipts in a fast-paced store environment. You will prepare items for production and help expedite merchandise while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for customers and donors.

The role requires lifting up to 35 pounds, standing for long periods, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Training on pallet jack and stacker is provided.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience or equivalent educational experience preferred.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers.
• Ability to understand English and interact with customers and employees.
• Ability to communicate verbally with associates and customers.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently.
• Willingness to be trained to use pallet jack and stacker.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers.
• Greet donors and safely unload donations from vehicles.
• Complete donor receipts and provide copies to donors.
• Sort donated items into designated categories.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards.
• Maintain a professional appearance per Goodwill standards.
• Adhere to store opening, production, and closing schedules.
