Job summary

Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a part-time Collection Attendant to greet donors, accept donations, and maintain a tidy donation site.

The role involves providing excellent customer service, processing donations according to guidelines, and helping with unloading and organizing materials. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, with responsibilities that include ensuring safe handling of donations

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property.
• Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.
• May be required to pass a drug screening.
• Must be able to perform essential functions Collection Attendant job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards as established by the company.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service to all donors in a timely and courteous manner.
• Greet and assist donors in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept or reject donations according to guidelines.
• Sort donations into designated categories.
• Maintain workstation organization and cleanliness.
• Safely load/unload donated goods.
• Provide proper attention to site appearance and needs to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
