Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana in Walker, LA is seeking a Donation Attendant to support donors, process donations, and maintain a safe, courteous environment. You will project a positive image of Goodwill and issue receipts for donations at a busy donation site.

The role requires standing and walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required; flexibility for days, nights, and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Must interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Must market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Must engage in prolonged standing, walking and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Must work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
• Must lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Must function in a hectic work environment with occasional high stress.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• To project a positive image of Goodwill to all donors.
• To sort donated materials as instructed.
• To maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and promote safe, courteous service to donors.
• To accept donations from the general public and issue a receipt for donations.
• To present a positive image of the Company through prompt, courteous service.
• To follow the safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
