Job summary

The Salvation Army in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated Donation Attendant for a full-time role in Production. You will maintain the donation area, assist donors with receipts, and manage paperwork under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Candidates should be neat, capable of following directions, and able to handle physical tasks including lifting and moving donations. Flexible scheduling and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy.
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.

• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy

• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
• Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
• Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes
• Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
