PAY RATE: $16.50 PH

Job Responsibilities

As our enthusiastic and hardworking DONATION ATTENDANT, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and cleaning up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Assisting the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and providing receipt
  • Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor
  • Separating and sorting all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stacking material as instructed by the Supervisor
  • Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary
  • Informing the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
  • Securing and locking Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift

Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective communication with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as carts, merchandise, fixtures, furniture, etc.
  • Ability to move product up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
  • Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management, and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Full-time associates may work any shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Salvation Army will comply with all COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination if required, and will consider exemption requests on religious or medical grounds.
