Job summary

Cameron Nursing Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse administrator to manage Nursing Services, supervise the nursing department 24/7, and ensure quality care per physician orders and regulatory standards.

The role includes directing operations in the absence of the Administrator, and conducting the nursing process under the Nurse Practice Act. Requires RN licensure and an associate or bachelor nursing degree, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of practice.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing from an accredited school.
• 5 years in long-term or acute health care preferred; at least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plans for total resident care per physician orders and facility policies.
• Communicate and interpret nursing policies to staff and monitor practice.
• Participate in admissions decisions and may assess prospective residents.
• Attend daily/weekly management meetings to discuss resident status and census changes.
• Other duties and activities may be assigned as needed.

Responsible for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State and The Company standards, guidelines and regulations. In absence of the Administrator, assumes the responsibility for center operations. The position conducts the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation - under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.

• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.
• Participates in all admissions decisions, and may visit prospective residents before admissions.
• Participates in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.
