PACS is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department across the post-acute care facility. The DON will oversee staff, ensure resident safety, and provide direct resident care as needed, while guiding policy, compliance, and QA activities.
The role requires BSN, active state licensure, and several years of nurse management experience; strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills are essential to drive excellent patient outcomes.
General Purpose Define the roles and responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON). The DON is a registered nurse who oversees and supervises the care of all the residents. The DON also provides direct resident/patient care.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for supervising and managing the ADON, and entire nursing staff either directly or indirectly.
