Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a DON Administrator to lead day-to-day operations and financial management of our pediatric ambulatory surgery centers. The role requires clinical leadership, strategic oversight, and collaboration with medical and executive teams to drive patient care and organizational success.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing, and performance metrics while ensuring compliance and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced ASC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 60 days of hire.
• ICU or perioperative nursing experience.
• Leadership experience as Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Administrator.
• Three+ years of experience in healthcare operations.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Have full responsibility and accountability for day-to-day operational and financial management of the Surgery Center.
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all program elements and services at the Surgery Center.
• Provide leadership to a team of medical and administrative professionals to promote patient care and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Medical Executive Committee and Governing Body to implement Strategic Plan, Goals and Objectives; communicate with staff accordingly.
• Prepare and monitor facility operating and capital budgets; submit reports and take actions to meet budget targets.
• Manage annual budget and reporting with Chief Financial Officer to maximize EBITDA and identify trends.

YOU WILL

• Have full responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day operational and financial management of the Surgery Center
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all program elements of and services at the Surgery Center
• Provide leadership to a team of medical and administrative professionals to promote outstanding results in patient care along with physician, patient and associate satisfaction with the Surgery Center’s services and culture
• Work closely with the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body to create and implement the Strategic Plan, Goals and Objectives, communicating with and integrating the Surgery Center associates as appropriate
• Complete and monitor the facility operating and capital budgets, submitting reports as required and taking actions, which will assure meeting all budget targets
• Manage annual Budget and reporting in conjunction with Chief Financial Officer for Blue Cloud to maximize EBITDA and identify trends and methods to achieve

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Current ACLS, and PALS within 60 days of hire
• ICU or perioperative nursing experience
• Leadership experience – Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Administrator
• Three or more years of experience in healthcare operations
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills along with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet

Preferred

• Strong background in ambulatory surgery preferred
• Master’s degree in business, healthcare or nursing
• Regulatory and Accreditation knowledge (CMS, DOH, OSHA, AORN, AAAHC)
