Job Overview:This position is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing electrical overhead and underground distribution and transmission systems.Responsibilities:*** Install, maintain, and repair electrical power lines and cables, including poles, towers, and underground conduits.* Perform emergency repairs and restoration of power during outages.* Operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other specialized line equipment.* Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).* Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.* Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and safely.* Perform duties in various weather conditions and be available for on-call and emergency work as required.* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.* Train and mentor apprentice linemen as needed.Qualifications:*** Completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program.* Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.* In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and practices related to distribution and transmission systems.* Proficient in the operation of heavy equipment and specialized tools used in line work.* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.* Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb poles, and work in various weather conditions.* Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Company Overview:R.B.
