Job summary

Maze of Life is seeking qualified Domestic Violence Counselors and Facilitators to provide group and individual services for individuals who have used violence or coercive control in intimate relationships. This role supports participants through accountability-focused interventions, with group facilitation as the primary modality and individual sessions when state guidelines allow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years direct experience with individuals who have used intimate partner violence or coercive control.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Completion of 24–40 hours of specialized domestic violence/partner abuse intervention training.
• 40–72 hours of training preferred to meet state requirements.
• Experience facilitating accountability-focused groups (minimum 40 hours; 72 hours preferred).
• Strong understanding of power/control dynamics, trauma-informed accountability, and non-violent approaches.
• Ability to maintain confidential records and support court/probation reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured group sessions consistent with evidence-based curricula and state standards.
• Create and maintain a safe, structured group environment and monitor attendance and progress.
• Conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments for needs, risks, and motivations.
• Provide structured individual counseling and support sessions as assigned.
• Maintain confidential documentation and support required reporting to courts and probation.
• Collaborate with co-facilitators and community partners while upholding confidentiality and mandated reporting.
