Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed in Kansas and in good standing.
• Thorough knowledge of domestic law issues, especially support matters; knowledge of procedures and Kansas Child Support Guidelines.
• Excellent research, writing, analytic and communication skills; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and collect child and spousal support orders in Douglas County domestic cases.
• Review and modify child support orders as needed.
• Meet with pro se litigants or retained counsel regarding support issues.
• Prepare discovery requests, pleadings, child support worksheets, and prepare cases for and attend weekly trial docket.
• Maintain working relationships with paralegals and court staff; calmly assist diverse members of the public.
