Job summary

Sodexo is hiring for a healthcare cleaning role in the United States. You will perform daily cleaning, deep-cleaning and infection prevention tasks, following hospital procedures and COSHH guidelines to maintain a safe environment.

Role requires attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work well in a team and under pressure. You will document activities and help keep facilities clean, well-stocked and compliant with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a healthcare or customer-focused environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, COSHH and Health & Safety practices.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• A positive, reliable and professional approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waste disposal and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with national cleaning specifications and hospital procedures.
• Complete discharge, deep-clean and infection prevention cleaning tasks as required.
• Follow cleaning schedules, complete relevant documentation and ensure compliance with all procedures.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH regulations.
• Report faulty equipment, hazards, accidents and incidents promptly.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards, equipment and stock levels are maintained and organised.
• Remove and dispose of general and clinical waste in line with site procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support a safe and welcoming healthcare environment.
• Follow all Health & Safety, infection prevention, safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
