Job summary

Vanguard's Enterprise Data Architecture team is shaping the AI-Ready Data Strategy by defining and evolving the enterprise data architecture blueprint. The data ecosystem must be scalable, secure, and optimized for AI capabilities across the organization.

Collaborating across subdivisions, the role establishes standards, patterns, and frameworks to enable trusted, high-quality data for the enterprise. A hybrid work model is supported at Vanguard's Malvern location.

Qualifications

• Ten years of related work experience, with at least five years in technology architecture.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience designing data architectures across operational to analytical lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Develop physical and logical data architecture blueprints.
• Evaluate hardware and software platforms; integrate systems.
• Lead data design and platform architecture decisions.
• Provide thought leadership; collaborate with partners on future data architecture.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Responsible for developing physical and logical data architecture blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, integrating systems, data design, and data platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in synthesizing business and technical requirements into world class data architectures and technical blueprints.
• Designs data and platform architectures for Operational through Analytics phases of the data lifecycle.
• Provides thought leadership, working with partners to make decisions and recommendations on the future of data architecture.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• AWS Data Services.
• Data Architecture experience required.
• Data Modeling and Data Lakehouse technologies required.
• Databricks, semantic modeling and dimensional modeling preferred.
• Minimum of ten years related work experience, with at least five years of technology architect experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
