Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Dollar Fresh Service Manager to lead store operations, support employees, and ensure smooth daily workflows from opening to close.

You will train and assign duties, supervise staff in the manager's absence, and maintain superior customer service across all departments while adhering to company policies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team across all areas of a retail store.
• Strong communication and math skills.

You'll lead by example, step into any role that needs filling, and keep everything moving in the right direction throughout your shift.If you're someone who thrives in a busy environment, loves helping people, and takes pride in being the person others can count on, this role is a great fit for you.What You'll DoNo two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly in all areas of the store and going the extra mile to make every visit a positive oneAssist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requestsServe as a key holder with opening and closing responsibilitiesAssign employees to specific duties, follow up to ensure timely completion, and train employees in department procedures and job dutiesSupervise and coordinate activities of employees across all areas of the store in the manager's absence, or perform the work necessary at any job levelAssist customers at self-checkout lanes, monitor self-checkout registers, and process refunds and department-approved returnsOperate the cash register to complete customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including bagging groceries as neededRedeem promotional coupons, food stamps, and WIC checks; sell and redeem lottery; process rental transactions; handle credit card and in-store charges; count back change and issue receiptsUnload trucks, stock, replenish, and face product throughout the store; carry out to-do lists from store leadershipLabel all backroom and storage area containers with the date receivedDetermine location of ad and promotional displays and ensure product quality and quantities meet customer demandTrain employees on safety procedures, complete customer accident forms, and manage first reports of injury as neededEnsure employee compliance with company policies, security procedures, sales practices, and record keeping requirementsHandle confidential information including pricing, sales reports, and wages with discretionMaintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policiesAssist in other store areas and take on special projects as neededYou'll receive direction and support from: Store Director, Store Manager, Center Store Manager, and Fresh Foods ManagerYour SkillsTo be successful in this role, you'll need to be able to:Lead and motivate a team across all areas of a retail storeSolve practical problems and make sound decisions with a variety of variablesUse basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentagesCommunicate clearly with customers, employees, and store leadershipStay organized, manage multiple priorities, and step in wherever needed throughout a shiftHigh school diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of similar or related work experience preferredReporting RelationshipsAccountable and Reports to: Store Director, Store Manager, Center Store Manager, and Fresh Foods ManagerDirect Reports: All positions except those listed above or as designated by the Store Director or Store ManagerEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTwo or more years of similar or related work experience preferredPhysical RequirementsFrequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areasWhere applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparationWhere applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipmentWhere applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standardsPerform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation dutiesWorking EnvironmentThis is a fast-moving, hands-on role performed throughout the store. You may encounter exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, equipment movement hazards, electrical shock, and cleaning chemicals or solvents.
