Job summary

American Girl Dallas is seeking an Experience Associate to deliver friendly, informative service and adapt to changing business needs. You will assist customers, perform doll styling and ear piercing services, and participate in store events.

Training will be provided for ear piercing, and you will work in a dynamic team that supports a positive work environment, with a flexible retail schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Sales experience in specialty retail or service industry is preferred.
• Willing to perform ear piercing services.
• Experience styling hair for dolls is preferred.
• Flexible retail schedule including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Approach, acknowledge and assist customers promptly.
• Style dolls according to company standards and proper doll hair care techniques.
• Perform ear piercing services.
• Training and certification will be provided to perform ear piercing services and follow aftercare procedures.
• Conduct inventory of salon supplies and stock salon area; communicate replenishment needs when needed.
• Participate in salon events including Doll Hair and Manicure Day, hair demos, and private parties.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Share product knowledge and upsell salon services and products.
• Share information on store events, promotions, and activities with customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers to create a positive work environment and train new associates.

The Opportunity:

The American Girl Dallas retail store is looking for a dynamic individualas an Experience Associate, who has the manual and interpersonal skills to deliver friendly and informative service, as well as, the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Approach, acknowledge and assist customers promptly.
• Execute style for dolls according to company standards and demonstrate proper doll hair care and doll skin care techniques
• Perform ear piercing services
• Training and certification will be provided to perform ear piercing services. Trained associates will follow ear piercing procedure checklist, complete waivers, and review After Care procedures with guests
• Conduct inventory of salon supplies and stock salon area and communicate replenishment needs when needed
• Participate in salon events including Doll Hair and Manicure Day events, hair demos, and private birthday parties
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed
• Share product knowledge, answer questions, and suggestive upsell other Salon services and products
• Share information on store events, promotions, and activitieswith customers
• Collaborate with co-workers to create a positive work environment and assist in training new associates

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be willing to perform girl ear piercing services
• Sales experience in the specialty retail or service industry, preferred.
• Experience styling hair, especially for dolls, preferred.
• Experience working with children, preferred.
• Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, nights and weekends.

The pay range for this position is between $15 and $17.25 per hour.
