Job summary

Swifto NY is seeking dedicated dog walkers to join their team in New York City. This part-time, W-2 position allows you to spend your days outdoors with pets in your care. You’ll build consistent client relationships while earning a competitive wage and tips.

Walkers can enjoy flexible scheduling, a supportive operations team, and ongoing training in animal behavior. Applicants should have prior experience with dogs or cats and commit to at least six months of availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and located in or near Manhattan.
• Experience caring for dogs and/or cats is required.
• Ability to commit to at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs or care for pets in their homes.
• Provide exercise, playtime, and companionship for pets.

This is a W-2 position with paid training and ongoing education in dog and cat behavior, giving you the tools and support to succeed long-term.

What you'll do:

• Walk dogs or care for pets in their home
• Provide exercise, playtime, and companionship
• Send photo updates and short visit summaries through our app
• Build ongoing relationships with the same pets and clients

What we're looking for:

• Located in Manhattan or Close to Manhattan
• 18+ years old
• Experience caring for dogs and/or cats
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Able to set a recurring weekly availability
• Able to commit to at least 6 months

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay Structure on a per-walk basis.
• Typical routes include 5-10 visits per day, depending on your availability
• Most walkers work between 15 to 20 hours per week and earn $250.00 to $350.00 per week + tips.
• Automatic rate increases every 400 completed walks/visits
• 401K eligibility after six months
