Job summary

Woofie’s of Barrington‑Northwest is seeking a reliable Part-Time Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join a friendly, active team. You’ll care for clients’ dogs in their homes, walk dogs on designated routes, and provide real-time updates to pet parents.

The role requires arranging your own reliable transport, a flexible schedule including some holidays, and a genuine love for animals. Prior dog-walking experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience with dogs of multiple breeds and sizes is preferred.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to walk several miles daily in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of dog safety.
• Dependable, punctual and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Greet dogs, get them ready, and ensure they are dressed and secured in a harness or collar.
• Walk dogs for the designated time over the set route.
• Provide real-time communication with pet parents.
• Clean up after dogs in your care.
• Follow best dog walking practices to keep dogs safe and healthy.

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and compassionate Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to provide loving care to our clients’ pets in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Greet dogs, get them ready, and ensure they are properly dressed (harness, collar, etc) and safely secured
• Walk dogs for the designated time over the set route
• Real‑time communication with pet parents
• Clean up after any dogs in your care
• Use common sense and best dog walking practices to ensure dogs are safe and healthy while in your care

• Strong time management and communication skills
• The ability to walk several miles each day in a variety of weather conditions

Requirements

• Must have your own reliable vehicle
• Smartphone with ability to use the Woofie’s app for scheduling, GPS tracking, visit updates, and communication
• Availability on select holidays is required
