Job summary

Petco is seeking a dedicated Dog Trainer to enhance the bond between pets and their owners. You will provide one-on-one sessions, group classes, and expert advice on training goals, nutrition, and essential supplies.

You will complete Petco’s Dog Trainer Instructor Program and work with guests to tailor solutions, while maintaining training records and delivering a high-quality guest experience in a Pet Care Center setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with pet parents.
• Demonstrated ability to handle dogs of all sizes safely.
• Strong organizational skills to manage training schedules and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class dog training services and personalized guidance.
• Attend and complete Petco’s 6-week Dog Trainer Instructor Program.
• Recommend and sell training classes and supplies to customers.
• Keep accurate records of training progress and client feedback.
• Collaborate with grooming and veterinary teams to support holistic pet care.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
