We are currently seeking an experienced Dog Trainer to join our team! The role requires a deep knowledge of dog breeds, behaviors, training tactics, and a successful portfolio. You will lead training classes, work one‑on‑one with clients to build strong relationships, and collaborate with the internal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group dog training classes
• Work with dogs of all breeds and sizes on obedience and behavior modification
• Educate pet parents on proper training techniques and dog behavior
• Coach and educate our internal team on dog behavior and safe handling practices
• Travel to client homes and designated training locations
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear, positive communication
• Maintain accurate training records and progress updates

Requirements

• Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) or equivalent certification required
• Minimum 2+ years professional dog training experience
• Solid knowledge of canine behavior and behavior modification techniques
• Comfortable working with dogs of all temperaments
• Ability to manage both private lessons and group classes
• Reliable, insured vehicle — this is an on‑the‑road position
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work weekends
• Passionate about ongoing learning and aligned with Dan’s Pet Care mission

Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
