Job summary

The Dog Stop is seeking an enthusiastic dog groomer to join our team. Weekend work is a requirement, with availability to work at least 3-4 days per week. We offer a 50% commission on grooming services, paid time off, optional 401k, medical benefits, and product/service discounts.

Training with our senior groomer and assistance with tools are provided. Responsibilities include nose-to-tail makeovers, walk-in nail trims, baths, and client communication to suggest the best grooming options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of grooming experience with a range of dog breeds/sizes.
• Strong communication with clients and staff.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform full nose-to-tail grooming including baths, nails, and trims for all breeds.
• Manage busy grooming schedule and communicate progress to reception and clients.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area and inventory.
• Build relationships with clients to recommend grooming options.
• Organize and update client profiles and maintain tools.

Dutіеs Inсӏude:

• Full Nose-to-Tail Makeovers (this includes bath, nail trims, and full body cuts) for all breeds
• Walk-in nail trims and gland expressions
• Baths for all size dogs
• Customer relations – develop relationships with clientele and their dogs. You should be able to explain to customers the best cut/grooming option for each dog.
• Managing busy grooming schedules and communicating progress to receptionists and clients.
• Maintaining a clean grooming room
• Keep track of inventory
• Upkeep grooming toolsOrganize and update client profiles
• At least one year of grooming experience with a wide variety of sizes and breeds of dogs
