Destination Pet LLC is seeking a professional groomer to join our team in Bluffton, SC. You will groom dogs to owner specifications and breed standards, maintain a clean, safe station, and engage with pet parents to discuss coat care and grooming trends.

Responsibilities

• Snipping, shaping, and styling pets based on owner preferences or breed standards.
• Trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing teeth, and tidying up the tail end.
• Bathing dogs or coordinating with bathers to prep pets for grooming.
• Chatting with pet parents about grooming needs, coat care, and trends.
• Keeping station neat, tools sharp, and vibe fresh.
• Tagging in the front desk when pups are ready for pickup.
• Providing a calm, kind, safe experience for every animal in your care.
• Representing Destination Pet’s values of compassion, quality, and community.

Requirements

Professional grooming experience is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and manage large or nervous dogs safely. Exposure to fur, cleaning chemicals, wet pups, “accidents” and unpredictable zoomies is guaranteed. Must be able to work in a physically active environment with heat, cold, water, and noise.

• Familiarity with pet behavior, stress signals, and safe handling practices.
• Can communicate clearly—with clients, teammates, and even the pets.
• Reliable, calm under pressure, and excited to keep learning.
• Loves animals and treats each one like they’re your own.
