PUPS in Chicago, IL is seeking a Daycare Attendant to supervise dog day care groups, engage pups with enrichment and play activities, and help maintain a safe, healthy club environment.
You will assist with feeding, water provision, and medication administration, and you will document pet activities while upholding all safety protocols. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive hourly pay range based on experience.

Daycare attendants play a pivotal role in ensuring pets receive the highest quality care and attention during their stay at our Club. Pet care includes play/interaction, feeding and ensuring access to water, providing medications as necessary, and cleaning up pet accidents after to ensure a safe, healthy, and sanitized space.
Supervising dog day care groups ; engag ing the pups with enrichment and play activities.
Routin ely cleaning and sanitizing club areas ; removing pet waste as necessary .
Preparing meals according to specified instructions; ensuring access to clean water.
Preparing and administering medications to specified instructions.
A ccurately and consistently tracking and logging pet activities such as feedings and medication administration .
Monitoring pups’ behavior and activities for safety; r eporting health concerns to other members of the team ( General Manager and Member Services)
Adhering to all pet and human safety protocols at all times .
Assessing group and pup safety to prevent and/or respond appropriately to pup fights or behavioral conflicts.
Communicating effectively with PUPS Me mbers and Club Team Members.

Ability to comfortably interact and handle dogs of varying sizes/weights, breeds, and in varying group sizes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegat e them when appropriate.
Ability to function well in dependently and at times stressful environment.
Customer service experience preferred.
Pet c are experience and or training preferred.
PUPS Team Members routinely perform the following physical demands. All PUPS Team Members are expected to perform these physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours without a break.
Kneel, bend, squat, and twist their body.
Repetitive ly complete hand and arm movement s ; reach, grab, pull, and push objects.
Perform duties in an environment with loud sounds from animals and smells from pet waste and cleaning chemicals.
Lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance.
Pay range is $17.05 to $21.00/hr based on experience
PTO & Sick time (Team members can accrue up to 40 hours of Sick Time per year)
