Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking a Part-Time Daycare Attendant to supervise group play, monitor dogs’ body language, and keep play areas safe and clean. The role requires stamina, confidence in a busy dog daycare, and a focus on safety.

You’ll be on your feet most of the day, handle dogs of various sizes, and work weekends and holidays. Training and support are provided to ensure a structured, enriching daycare experience for every pet.

Qualifications

• Confidently supervise multiple dogs in a daycare setting.
• Knowledge of dog behavior and pack dynamics (willing to learn).
• Physically active with ability to stand for long periods.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervising group play sessions with multiple dogs
• Monitoring body language and preventing conflicts
• Redirecting inappropriate behavior calmly and confidently
• Separating dogs when needed
• Walking dogs to and from play areas
• Cleaning and sanitizing play yards throughout your shift
• Monitoring health and reporting any concerns immediately
• Documenting playgroup notes and behavior observations
• Communicating updates to leadership and occasionally to pet parents
• You will be on your feet most of the day, moving quickly, and staying alert.
• Yes — you will clean messes. Yes — you’ll get dirty. Yes — it can be loud and busy.

What You’ll Do

As a Daycare Attendant, you are responsible for the safety and structure of the pack.

You must be able to:

• Lift up to 60 lbs

• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
• Work weekends and holidays
• Stay focused in a noisy, fast-moving environment
