Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking a Full-Time Dog Daycare Attendant to supervise group play, manage pack dynamics, and ensure a safe, structured daycare experience for dogs. This active role requires stamina, confidence in a busy setting, and a passion for animal welfare.

You will monitor behavior, redirect inappropriate actions, walk dogs between play areas, clean and sanitize yards, and communicate updates to leadership and clients as needed. Weekend and holiday availability preferred.

We’re looking for a Full-Time Dog Daycare Attendant to supervise group play sessions, manage pack dynamics, and ensure every dog has a safe, structured, and enriching daycare experience. This is an active, fast-paced role that requires focus, stamina, and confidence in a group dog setting.

What You’ll Do

As a Daycare Attendant, you are responsible for the safety and structure of the pack.

Your day will include:

• Supervising group play sessions with multiple dogs
• Monitoring body language and preventing conflicts
• Redirecting inappropriate behavior calmly and confidently
• Separating dogs when needed
• Walking dogs to and from play areas
• Cleaning and sanitizing play yards throughout your shift
• Monitoring health and reporting any concerns immediately
• Documenting playgroup notes and behavior observations
• Communicating updates to leadership and occasionally to pet parents
• You will be on your feet most of the day, moving quickly, and staying alert.
• Yes — you will clean messes. Yes — you’ll get dirty. Yes — it can be loud and busy.
• And yes — it’s incredibly rewarding when done well.

• Confident supervising groups of dogs
• Knowledgeable (or willing to learn) about dog behavior and pack dynamics
• Calm, assertive, and safety-focused
• Physically active and comfortable standing for long periods
• Detail-oriented with strong observation skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

You must be able to:

• Lift up to 60 lbs
• Handle dogs of all sizes safely
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
• Work weekends and holidays
• Stay focused in a noisy, fast-moving environment

Work Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday–Friday shifts
• Weekend availability required
• Holiday availability required
