Camp Bow Wow Rockaway is seeking an experienced Dog Daycare Supervisor to lead our Camp Counselor team and ensure safe, attentive care for canine campers. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising play yards, training staff, and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Camp Bow Wow Rockaway is looking for an experienced, dependable Dog Daycare Supervisor to help lead our Camp Counselor team and ensure our canine campers receive safe, attentive care every day. This is a hands-on LEADERSHIP position for someone who understands dog behavior, takes safety seriously, and enjoys working alongside a team. You’ll help oversee daily kennel operations, train and support staff, maintain a clean and safe facility, and ensure our dogs receive the quality care they deserve. **Always room for GROWTH within the Company for this leadership role. This is an active, hands‑on position, not a desk job. You’ll spend your shifts working directly with dogs and staff, supervising play yards, cleaning kennels, and helping keep daily operations running smoothly. Responsibilities And Duties

• Dog safety and supervision: Monitor dogs in play yards, recognize changes in canine behavior, and help maintain a safe, positive environment for all campers.
• Shift leadership: Help manage daily kennel operations, guide Camp Counselors, and ensure established procedures and safety standards are followed.
• Staff training and development: Train new employees and help coach existing team members on proper dog handling, supervision, and camp procedures.
• Cleaning and sanitation: Maintain clean, sanitary kennels, play yards, and common areas. This position involves frequent cleaning and all typical hands‑on kennel duties.
• Team communication: Communicate operational concerns, staffing needs, and safety issues to upper management.
• Daily operations: Help keep the facility organized, address issues as they arise, and ensure daily responsibilities are completed properly.
• Client experience: Help create a positive, consistent experience for our clients by ensuring their dogs receive attentive care in a safe, well‑maintained environment.

Requirements

• Previous professional dog-care experience is REQUIRED. Experience in dog daycare, boarding, a kennel, or a similar professional animal-care environment is essential.
• A solid understanding of canine behavior, body language, and safe dog‑handling practices.
• The ability to guide coworkers, communicate effectively, and lead by example.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical, hands‑on kennel duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods while working around groups of dogs.
• Dependable, punctual, attentive, and able to remain calm in a busy environment.
• A positive, team‑oriented attitude and the ability to adapt to changing daily needs.
• Willingness to accept constructive feedback and follow established policies and procedures.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
• Consistent, year‑round availability is preferred.
