Job summary

The Dog Stop Argyle is seeking a passionate, experienced Dog Care Manager to lead our team and maintain exceptional care for guests and their dogs. This role focuses on guiding staff, ensuring safety, and delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise dog playgroups, mentor the team, manage daily operations, train on policies, assess dog behaviors, and foster a positive workplace culture that supports growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in dog daycare, boarding, training, veterinary, or other animal care environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and proactive in a fast-paced setting.
• A passion for dogs and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• A positive attitude and desire to help both dogs and team members succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise safe, structured, and positive dog playgroups.
• Oversee and mentor staff, ensuring consistency in dog handling and guest care.
• Manage daily back-of-house operations and facility standards.
• Train team members on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Assess dog behaviors, play styles, and group dynamics, proactively responding to ensure safety.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for all guests.
• Build trust with pet parents by ensuring every dog receives outstanding care and attention.
