Job summary

RcK9 is a structured dog care and boarding facility in New England seeking a reliable dog handler. You will supervise groups of dogs, read body language and lead enrichment activities all day.

This is a physical, hands-on role requiring standing, lifting 50+ pounds, and weekend/holiday availability. Training provided; applicants must have dependable transportation and be comfortable with dogs of all sizes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors/in New England weather.
• Comfort handling dogs of all breeds and energy levels.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Excellent spelling/grammar for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely supervise and manage groups of dogs.
• Read canine body language and interrupt unsafe behavior.
• Lead structured play, enrichment and socialization activities.
• Reinforce basic training and good manners.
• Care for daycare and boarding dogs.
• Feed, rotate, crate, leash and move dogs safely.
• Communicate professionally with clients.
• Clean floors, kennels, dishes and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and handling protocols.
