K-9 Kountry is seeking a Dog Bather to join the team and provide bathing and basic grooming to dogs, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, and safe during each visit.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, can stand for long periods, and works well in a team. Training is provided, and a comprehensive benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with dog bathing or grooming is preferred but not required.
• Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication with the grooming team.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and thoroughly rinse dogs according to their needs and grooming instructions.
• Use appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and products based on coat and skin.
• Dry dogs using proper equipment and techniques.
• Brush and de-shed dogs as needed.
• Perform basic grooming tasks such as nail trims and ear cleaning.
• Safely handle and restrain dogs during bathing and drying, prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Monitor dogs for signs of stress and report concerns to management.
• Keep bathing areas, kennels, tubs, and tools clean and sanitized.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grooming environment.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, handling, and grooming procedures.
• Provide a positive experience for every dog and maintain records of services.
• Communicate grooming needs and behavior with team members.
• Assist the grooming team with other duties as needed.

We are seeking a Dog Bather to join our team! As a Dog Bather, you will be responsible for providing quality bathing and basic grooming services to the dogs in our care. You will help ensure each dog is clean, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining a safe and sanitary grooming environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds, has a gentle and patient approach to handling animals, can work on their feet for extended periods of time, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and thoroughly rinse dogs according to their individual needs and grooming instructions
• Use appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and bathing products based on each dog's coat and skin needs
• Properly dry dogs using appropriate grooming equipment and techniques
• Brush and de-shed dogs as needed
• Perform basic bathing services, including nail trims, ear cleaning, and other approved basic grooming tasks
• Safely handle and restrain dogs during bathing and drying while prioritizing their comfort and safety
• Monitor dogs for signs of stress, anxiety, discomfort, or unusual behavior and communicate concerns to management
• Clean and sanitize bathing areas, kennels, tubs, tables, tools, and equipment throughout the shift
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grooming environment
• Follow all K-9 Kountry safety, sanitation, handling, and grooming procedures
• Provide a positive and comfortable experience for every dog
• Maintain proper records of services provided and any concerns noted during the dog's visit
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding each dog's grooming needs and behavior
• Assist the grooming team with other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Previous dog bathing or grooming experience preferred but not required
• Must have a gentle, patient, and confident approach to handling dogs
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to safely handle dogs during bathing, drying, and basic grooming services
• Familiarity with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office, is a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
• Must be willing to follow K-9 Kountry's dress code and workplace policies
