Job summary

Scenthound is seeking a Dog Bather in Jacksonville, FL, to provide efficient, high‑quality prep and bathing services for dogs while adhering to Scenthound standards.

You will bathe, trim nails, clean ears, and help maintain clean facilities, collaborating with a team to meet service requests and ensure safety and animal welfare on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience handling dogs and prepping for grooming.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stay active during shifts.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dogs for grooming according to the order ticket.
• Bathe, blow dry, trim nails, clean ears, brush coat and clean teeth.
• Record health indicators in the S.C.E.N.T. Check app.
• Work with team to complete services as ordered.
• Ask for assistance to keep the center on schedule when needed.
• Ensure dog and team safety at all times.
• Follow Scenthound sanitation and cleaning practices.
• Take on duties assigned by the Scenter Manager.

Tasks:

• Clean and/ or prep dogs for grooming, according to the order ticket
• Bathe, blow dry, clip/ grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, express glands
• Identify the dog’s health indicators and input them into a S.C.E.N.T. Check app
• Work on a team to complete the services ordered
• Assist others/ Ask others for assistance when needed to keep Scenter on schedule
• Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
• Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
